What it Boils Down to

A friend of mine and I was having a conversation and she asked "Why do men be so ready to just take you home now days?" My first initial reaction was to begin male-bashing the men of this generation, but I had to stop and take another look at it:

What it all boils down to, is the question of if we are playing ourselves as women? Moving entirely too fast, thinking Mr. Right is in every Paul, Jake, and How you doing? Have we lost our self-worth, in the process of finding true love, laying down in every bed, just because he tells you, you are the only one? Have we made it too easy, giving up all the goods, no I'm not just talking sexually, but bringing every Jon Doe to your neck of the woods. Have you been that "Ride or Die", but it's going on 10 years, yea I bet you thought more was to come, yet now your best friend has become your worse fears! O no don't walk away now, Mr. Wrong has told you all the right stuff, but he forgot to let you in on his secret, that being pretend "wifey" is always enough. Oh yea he cheated that's right, but it was only a few times, so you let him continue to hurt you, all the while giving you the same lines. Have we forgot what our mothers told us, to respect ourselves, you can do bad on your own, why not take a step back to look at the picture, how men became so bold. Bold enough to tell us what part of us they own, while crossing all boundaries the lies unfold, tricking yourself into what you already know, don't succumb to the words of someone who places you so low. So no....is it your fault, or have you became another statistic, hold your head up girl, get creative and be articulate. Don't settle for less, when you can clearly get more, nothing is a guarantee, but what you deserve is always for sure. All men are not dogs, God has prepared for you a special other half, after he has completed his beautiful work in you, you'll move forward with virtuous tasks!

Thought: Walk into what God has for you, be all that he said you are!!!  Live up to those standards and stand firm on your expectations.
