4 Thieves, 3 Down

Just to take a minute out of my day to address something to you that I couldn't address to them:

I hope that every day when you peel open your eyes and see dampness and darkness, only to see those cold, harsh, steel, metal bars staring back at you for the next 15 to 17 years, it reminds you of the freedom and security you raped from unsuspecting and undeserving victims. Every day that you wake up in your caged mind it reminds you that a brain is a terrible thing to waste and so is your life! I wish you long life and due misery but that your children do not have to suffer the sins of their fathers. The Christ in me won't allow me to NOT forgive you. So I tell you on this day I struggle and always ask why, but I. Forgive. You. Hopefully the dust of the remnants of the traumatic acts you committed are burnt into your medulla, so that you may father your sons correctly and not return to a place that wants to keep you suppressed and in bondage.

In your nightmares, I hope that you get a vision of the future that you will never have. God is the only one who can judge you and change you. You have caused so much pain and trauma that you can never take back or even imagine. I wouldn't even wish the worst situation on you or your family, as thus says the Lord "Vengeance is mine." I could not bring myself to even look at your faces in court, to be reminded of the actions and words that were spoken that night. You raped my family of securities that no security system could ever protect or give back. Fortunately for you, our justice system has not completely failed myself and others, I firmly believe if you take life you should get yours taken, although not in a capital punishment way, but God will take matters in his own hands to remind you that you cannot sin against the father and his children and get away with it.

In closing, if I spoke the words that are truly deserving to you, I wouldn't be able to get past the fact that I am able to forgive you.  So I leave you with this:

Matthew 15: 17
17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

Psalm 18: 1-3

1 I love you, Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield[b] and the horn[c] of my salvation, my stronghold.

3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and I have been saved from my enemies.

~For who the son sets free is free indeed.

  1. I'm sorry that you and your fam had to go through something like that. It is brave of you to address the people that violated your privacy, whehter it be face to face or written like you did your couragiousness to confront them is to be commended, as is your decision to forgive them. Once again another good read from you. Keep it up!

    1. Thank you! Definitely couldn't imagine someone being at the hands of these inconsiderate pricks.

  2. Thanks for sharing this post! I once heard that forgiveness is more you allowing yourself to move on and forward, and NOT about the other persons. This is so true, you really become free and in control once you forgive the other person. Again, thanks for sharing your story.
