Housekeeping 101

Hey Yall*

It has been so long and too far and in between but ya girl is still on it, believe that!!! Right now coming into a new year and mindset, all aspects of life are changing for me but in a good way! My thought process for today's blog is "Keeping your house in order!" This is for men and women alike!!!

Talking about equal opportunity, it all starts at home! As the saying goes, when your woman is happy, everybody is happy, if she isn't then...you catch my drift!!!! Here are a few simple things you need to do to keep your house in order before you step outside those four walls and into the madness and chaos of the world!

1.  Make sure everything in your home has a place. Don't have unnecessary clutter and items. When your home is cluttered your mind is sure to follow suit. What hoarders do you know that has good organizing, parenting, or working skills? Exactly!

2.  In the moment that you see something needs fixed, cleaned, or done just do it!! We all have long days and tiring nights, but how much better can you sleep knowing you got that one nagging item crossed off your To-Do list? Exactly!

3.  If you have a partner that lives with you, do not, I repeat, do not go to sleep mad, communicate/express often, and make sure each of your needs are met. Nothing is more important than coming home to peace! It allows you to sleep easier. Voice your concerns, voice not yell! The best way to get your point across is to accept the points that are being directed back at you. If you two are mad at each other, don't go searching for other outlets or soundboards This doesn't mean you can't talk to your friends or get advice but keep it to a minimum. Lastly, if your home is dirty or needs attention then make sure it is done before you run out the door because you are mad. Respect each other and never let it get to a point of no return.

4.  If you have kids, be a good parent. This doesn't mean just buy them stuff, spend real quality time, train them in the ways that they should go. Leaving voids in your child's life will leave room for other people to plant bad seeds. Don't let this happen, be the person that you want your child to grow to be.  Tell them you love them everyday and as often as you can, tuck them in at night, read them a story, and you can never kiss them enough!

5.  COOK AND CLEAN!!!! I cannot express this enough. If you don't know how to do either, THEN LEARN!!! This is important for men and women.  Nothing is worst than feeling like you have to clean and cook for someone like their mother. Ladies love a man that can cook and vice versa. Take classes together, keep it interesting. It is 2013, ladies can be in the kitchen but men need to understand that isn't our only role!

This list can go on and on and honestly, to each his own depending on the personality type. Ultimately, you know what works for you and yours. Be attentive and don't let the enigmas of life deter you from handling your business!!!! That is it and that is all for now...
